This postcard project was created for Karjalan Sivistysseura ry, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the Karelian language and culture — something that holds a very special place in my heart.
As a Karelian myself, it was incredibly meaningful to create art that supports and celebrates our culture.

“Berries & Proverbs Custom Postcard Collection”
For this card collection, I created hand-painted watercolor frames with berries, using my favorite mixed media technique: watercolor and colored pencils.
I also hand-lettered the Karelian proverbs myself using Adobe Fresco, to give the text a smooth and polished finish that complements the illustrations.
